The Bangalow Music Festival comes back in 2011 with a truly unbelievable line-up between Friday 12th to Sunday 14th August.

Combining world-class instrumentalists, captivating sleeping room repertoire, delicious nourishment and a festive air enclosed by the sub-tropical attractiveness of the heritage township of Bangalow.

Bangalow Music Festival is an enchanting weekend of melodies in an intimate setting. Showcasing a vibrant cross-section of melodious methods in the attractive township of Bangalow, just 10 minutes from Byron Bay, this yearly Festival is a world-class event.

The programs are wealthy in collaboration between expert sleeping room ensembles, appearing juvenile creative individuals, Australian composers and spectacular soloists. Over the years the Festival has met numerous differentiated creative individuals, encompassing Ilya Knovalov (Concertmaster of the Israel Philharmonic), the Australian String Quartet, Tankstream Quartet, Tel-Aviv Trio, Marshall Maguire, Slava Grigoryan, and of course constituents of the Southern Cross Soloists.

After assisting the Festival in 2004, famous Australian composer Peter Sculthorpe recounted it as, “the most stimulating carnival, out-of-doors a capital town, that I have ever attended”.

The award-winning Bangalow Music Festival has been the most stunning development of the Southern Cross Soloists in latest years. The Festival has developed to become one of the country’s finest melodies festivals.

2011 is a especially exceptional year as it brands the tenth celebration of this magnificent festival.

Ten spectacular sleeping room melodies recitals held in the historic A&I Hall, starting on the Friday evening and culminating in a stunning finale on the Sunday afternoon

A community live presentation, offered before the Festival for the localized inhabitants who spend the Festival accommodating the audience

An informative children’s live presentation boasting premier instrumentalists from both Australia and overseas for localized school children.
