Air India’s Direct Delhi-Australia Flights to Benefit UK Travellers

Destination Australia! The country has incessantly lured holidaymakers from far and wide for its stunning natural grandeur, uber modern metropolises, scenic vistas, rolling coastline with bewitching beaches and lots more. However, booking flights to the country from say, as far as the UK, continues to baffle a number of holidaymakers for the sheer distance. There is no non-stop flight from UK to Australia!

For those looking to book flights to Australia, India’s national carrier, Air India, seems to have added to the ‘not so adequate’ options by starting a daily direct flight service from Delhi to Melbourne and Sydney! What is in it for me? Many holidaymakers from the UK may ask.

The new service will benefit the British as well as global travellers seeking holidays to Australia immensely. While it may not be a non-stop flight option, Air India is surely going to be a popular choice for those departing Heathrow and seeking just a single stop flight to the two metropolises of Australia with connection at Delhi.

Air India launched its operations on the route Saturday, last week. The flights will be operated daily on a Triangulated route –Delhi-Sydney-Melbourne-Delhi (4 weekly services) and Delhi-Melbourne-Sydney-Delhi (3 weekly services).

What is more interesting for the travellers is that the Airline has plans to press in service the popular Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. The modern aircraft promises a higher degree of comfort across all classes on the long haul travel to Australia. The daily frequency of flights would also add to the availability of seats benefitting travellers, particularly those looking for cheap economy class travel.
